Privacy Policy

Last updated 5 September 2026

What this covers

Bharat@100 (also published as "Bharat Varsh" - handle @bharatat100 on Instagram, YouTube, Threads, Facebook and Bluesky, and @Bharat_at_100 on X) is an independent content project publishing educational and civic content about India's development. This policy explains what happens to information connected to that project, including this website, bharatat100.com.

Most of what you experience - videos, posts, comments, follows - happens on Instagram, YouTube, X, Threads, Facebook, Bluesky, Pinterest or our WordPress blog, each governed by that platform's own privacy policy. This document covers the parts within our control, including this website.

What we collect

This website does not require account creation. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect only your email address, used solely to send that newsletter, via our email provider (MailerLite).

We use standard, privacy-respecting web analytics and hosting infrastructure (Netlify, Google Search Console) to understand how the site is used in aggregate - we do not sell or share this data.

Where we use third-party tools to manage or schedule content (such as social media scheduling or publishing services), those tools may process account-level data - for example, the identifiers needed to publish a post to a connected channel - under their own privacy terms.

Third-party platforms

Any interaction you have with Bharat@100 content - liking, commenting, following, messaging - is governed by that platform's own privacy policy, not this one: Instagram, Threads and Facebook (Meta's Privacy Policy), YouTube (Google's Privacy Policy), X (X's Privacy Policy), Bluesky (Bluesky's Privacy Policy), Pinterest (Pinterest's Privacy Policy), and our blog (WordPress.com's Privacy Policy).

We recommend reviewing the relevant platform's policy if you have questions about how your interactions there are handled.

How we use information

Any information we hold directly (such as a newsletter subscriber's email) is used only to operate the service it was collected for - sending the newsletter, responding to a message - and is never sold.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with service providers who help us operate (for example, our scheduling, hosting, or email tools), solely to the extent needed to provide that service, and only under terms that require them to protect it.

Retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected - for instance, a newsletter subscription is retained until you unsubscribe.

Your choices

You can unfollow, unsubscribe, or stop interacting with our accounts at any time. If we hold any direct information about you (such as an email address), you can request its deletion by contacting us - see below.

Children's privacy

Bharat@100's content is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the project grows. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
